The Brainerd Lakes Sunrise Rotary Club is a diverse collection of civic-minded business and professional leaders who join together for fellowship, professional enrichment, and the opportunity to serve. Our members provide volunteer time, money and expertise to improve the community and to foster international understanding and goodwill.
 PETER JOHNSON is Brainerd Sunrise 2009 Rotarian
of the Year!
Peter has been an active member of Rotary for many years and the silent work-horse behind the scenes. As Secretary, he has provided much Presidential support and kept the club running smoothly. This year, he also spearheaded the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome education project and has kept it moving forward. Thank you and Congratulations Peter!
Interesting Speakers
Sometimes entertaining, sometimes awe-inspriring, our weekly speakers present timely and informative programs on interesting topics and current events.
Jim Proebstle, an author with local roots, joined us on August 12th and gave a great presentation on his new book and insight into how he got it published.
Networking Opportunities and Fun Events
Each week brings another opportuniity for members to get to know other business professionals who share common goals and values. Fun social events get spouses and families involved too!

We sponsored 2 local high school students, James McLean and Shawn Putnam to spend a week at Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp (RYLA) at the UofM Crookston.
